Tarnished, 2022

Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas. 100 * 130 cm

Tainted, dirty, polluted, disgusting, impure, sickening, stinking, foul, nauseating, disgusting, repulsive.

Each of those men contributed a word to describe a feelings towards myself, that turned from just emotional to actual physical.

For years I couldn’t scrub off what had been forcefully stuck to me.
